AI is after us all... or is it? The human brain is the only thing that can solve differential equations while running on pizza and chicken McNuggets, but LLM's can shave off costs on tedious and mundane tasks.
As of 2026 the elephant in the AI room is rising costs:
- As per Microsoft's reports it's cheaper to hire people for certain tasks;
- Uber's CTO claims they burned the entire 2026 budget for AI in just 4 months, and COO says it's harder to justify tokenmaxxing (maybe it's why they fired entire HR department ?);
- Swan AI's CEO says they've burned through $113k of AI use budget in a month;
- Nvidia's VP says AI costs "far" more than hiring;
- And there are forecasts that zero-human companies can soon emerge.
