Adam Thielen won’t be joining his Carolina Panthers on the pitch this weekend.
The 11th-year wide receiver has been ruled out for the team’s Week 10 matchup against the New York Giants, which will take place from Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany on Sunday. He was listed as a non-participant in practice for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Thielen sustained a hamstring injury while reeling in a 31-yard touchdown pass in Carolina’s Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He would be placed on injured reserve a few days after and has yet to return to the playing field since.
The Panthers officially designated Thielen to return from injured reserve on Oct. 23. His 21-day practice window expires on Nov. 13, the Wednesday of Carolina’s bye in Week 11.
2024 marks Thielen’s second campaign with the team, where he has recorded eight catches for 109 yards and the touchdown. He led the Panthers in receiving in 2023, as he totaled 103 grabs for 1,014 yards and four scores.
