Yes, 007 First Light is getting a sequel and the strongest evidence for a sequel actually comes from the game’s ending, where it says that James Bond will be back in a true Marvel fashion after the post-credit scene, where James stands with M after Greenway’s service.

While Bond completes his mission and finally becomes the legendary 007, the story leaves several threads unresolved and introduces new mysteries that are never fully explored. After Isola saved Bond’s life and secured THEIA’s core for herself, the game’s final moments shifted focus toward the larger consequences of the mission, leaving several unanswered questions and setting up what appears to be the next chapter in Bond’s story.

While several key characters, including Greenway and Munroe, meet their end during the events of 007 First Light, others survive and could return in a potential sequel. One notable candidate is Cressida Bright, the top graduate from the Malta training program. Following the disastrous hotel mission that left her physically scarred and confined to a wheelchair, Cressida’s field career appears uncertain.

With Greenway gone, however, she could take on a larger role within MI6, potentially mentoring the next generation of agents. Given her history with Bond, she would be a natural choice to return in a follow-up story. Rather than wrapping everything up neatly, the final moments feel like the beginning of a larger saga, suggesting IO Interactive intentionally left room for future installments.

Another major clue pointing toward a sequel is Isola, the woman Bond knew as Miss Roth. Although Bond eventually finds her and learns parts of the truth, the game never reveals who she is really working for. It also becomes clear that she lied about her past connection to Webb and had her own agenda all along, securing THEIA’s core for reasons that remain unknown.

The ending leaves this mystery intentionally unresolved. M even instructs Bond to investigate Isola further, to which he replies, “Thought you’d never ask.” That exchange feels less like a conclusion and more like a setup for Bond’s next mission.

Although there is no release date for a potential sequel, 007 First Light‘s strong sales and positive reception suggest that IO Interactive will likely revisit the franchise in the years to come. Such a sequel could continue Bond’s evolution as a newly established MI6 agent while expanding on the characters, organizations, and unresolved conflicts introduced in the first game.
