Celebrity Hibs fan Irvine Welsh is offering one lucky Rangers fan a gold dust brief for the Europa League Final.
The famous follows West Ham United as well as his local Leith side and is giving away his ticket for Seville after the Londoners went out in the semi-final.
Welsh caused a storm last season when, during a Hibs TV broadcast, he said Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos should be should have been "macheted into small pieces" and shown a red card for a challenge on the Hibs player.
The Edinburgh side were given a warning by the SFA and Hibs issued an apology to Rangers over the comments.
On his official Twitter account, Welsh said after his appearance that his rant was taken out of context and his comments were meant as a joke.
And now the 63-year-old is looking to help out a Rangers punter by offering his ticket for the match against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
Welsh said on Twitter: “As @WestHam unfortunately didn’t make the Europa final, now have a spare ticket.
“Rather than waste it I would like to donate it to a Rangers fan. This is not a hoax, please get in touch if interested.
“Will need details to transfer it to your phone as guest for UEFA security.”
Regular Rangers TV commentator Clive Tyldesley replied: "(Ally) McCoist is after one for his son,” after the Ibrox strike legend admitted he couldn’t get his hands on one earlier this week.
One fan @Paul_Hunter_83 said: “Hi Irvine. I would love the opportunity to get a ticket for the final. Happy to pass on my details. Sorry I have no sob story to tell other than I don’t have a ticket.”
Another added: “What a class gesture.”
