Irvine Vics are set to fight a decision to expel them from this season’s Scottish Junior Cup.
The Westenders saw their second round tie at Troon - scheduled for last Saturday -cancelled with just 48 hours notice.
SJFA chiefs scrapped the game after the plug was pulled on an SFA appeal hearing into claims Vics fielded an ineligible player against Fraserburgh in the previous round.
Vics were found guilty of the offence earlier this month with the SJFA ruling they should be kicked out of the competition.
A revised fixture list, published this week on the SJFA's website, now states Troon will play Fraserburgh in the second round on October 22.
But Vics fully expect a new hearing date to be set so they can plead their case.
Despite numerous attempts, the SJFA could not be reached for comment.
