More roadworks are scheduled to take place in Irvine from next week.
Currently, North Ayrshire Council is carrying out 16 important improvement schemes on Irvine's roads throughout July.
However, another two are earmarked for the town's Long Drive area.
Newmoor roundabout and the stretch of Long Drive between the roundabout and the interchange at Towerlands Road will be closed for a week from 8am on Monday, July 25.
Access to and from Dreghorn will be restricted for the first week with traffic being diverted.
The roundabout is scheduled to reopen on Monday, August 1 when the second phase of resurfacing works will be carried out on both the north and southbound carriageways of Long Drive until Sunday, August 7.
In order to carry out the works as quickly and efficiently as possible, this stretch of road will remain closed for the duration of them.
Councillor Scott Davidson said: “I’m sure users of Long Drive, Irvine, will be pleased to see these important improvement works be carried out.
“There will unfortunately be some short-term inconvenience while the works are undertaken but we hope this will be outweighed the long-term benefits.”
Drivers are asked to observe the signed diversions which will be in place for the duration of the closures and to leave additional time for journeys.
