Irvine Meadow have snapped up experienced defender Isaac Kerr from Whitletts Victoria.
The 30-year-old centre-half, who asked to be placed on the transfer list last month, will be reunited with his brother Louis who signed from Whitletts in October and former boss George Grierson.
Kerr, who has also had spells at Kilwinning Rangers and Troon, makes the move as Meadow look set to lose skipper Calum Gow to West of Scotland Premier Division rivals Pollok.
The defender has made it clear he sees his future at Newlandsfield and Meadow have already rejected one offer from the Glasgow club.
But delighted gaffer Grierson insists new arrival Kerr should be judged on his own merits.
He told Ayrshire Football News : "Isaac comes here with loads of experience having played in the Premier Division with Kilwinning and Troon.
"He knows exactly what he's stepping into coming here in terms of how I like my teams to play.
"As a centre-half he totally fits the bill. He's won his fair share of things in the game.
"He's a massive threat from set-pieces and his goal record is very good for a defender. We're delighted to bring him on board.
"We don't want to lose Calum. We were in negotiations about giving him an improved deal for next year but he's made it clear he wants to move on. We'll see what happens.
"I'd say to the fans to judge Isaac on his own merits."
Kerr played 120 games for Whitless over five years, scoring 24 goals.
