Irvine Meadow are bracing themselves for a fine following crowd trouble at Friday night's Marymass derby.
Medda chairman Robert Jeffrey yesterday confirmed the club has been reported to the football authorities in connection with pitch invasions during the 2-1 win against Irvine Vics.
All three goals came in the final eight minutes of the Meadow Park clash – each followed by a minority of fans in the 1,462 crowd spilling on to the playing surface.
Referee Ryan Kennedy called a temporary five-minute halt to play after the second invasion to allow stewards to restore order.
However, Ayrshire Football News understands the whistler had to be persuaded not to abandon the game.
Jeffrey confirmed the disorder was mentioned in the official's match report.
He said: "Stewards and members of the Irvine Meadow committee did their best to control the crowd.
"I believe a report will go to the SFA and they will pass it on to the West of Scotland League to deal with. I don't want to comment any further until we hear back from the authorities."
