An Irish trio have advanced to medal fights at the European Amateur Boxing Championships in Montenegro.
Aoife O'Rourke, Amy Broadhurst and Christina Desmond all moved into the quarter-finals by winning their respective bouts on Sunday.
Roscommon native O'Rourke defeated Greece's Vasiliki Stavridou in the middleweight division, while Dundalk fighter and reigning world champion Broadhurst got the better of Sema Caliskan of Turkey at light welterweight.
Desmond also booked her place in the quarter-finals after beating Ukrainian Maryna Malovana in the 70kg division.
But Dubliner Niamh Fay lost to a Ukrainian opponent following a tough contest.
The results mean that Ireland will have at least seven fighters competing for medals on Wednesday, with Carly McNaul, Michaela Walsh, Kellie Harrington and Kaci Rock already through to medal bouts.
