Evan Ferguson has been shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for September.
The Ireland Under-21 ace scored a hat-trick for Brighton in their 4-1 win over Leicester and is on four goals in all competitions for the Seagulls’ second-string side.
Ferguson also opened his senior account earlier this season with a League Cup strike against Forest Green.
The 17-year-old is back with his club after the heartache of last week’s European Under-21 Championship play-off penalty shootout defeat to Israel.
Ferguson will find out if he is September’s Player of the Month award when the winner is announced on Friday 14 October.
