An Irish man who died after he tragically fell from a balcony in Thailand has been named as 41-year-old Cork native Colm McCarthy.
Colm, who was a teacher originally from Douglas, passed away on Friday morning after he fell from the balcony of the apartment he was living in in Bangkok.
He had been working as an English teacher at a local school in the Bang Khae district of the city. It has been reported that he moved to Bangkok to teach English, and to be closer to his son, CorkBeo reports.

He leaves behind his son Finnian, his wife Wineta, his parents, and a wide circle of family and friends.
Colm was a former player with Douglas AFC, who paid tribute to him saying: "All in Douglas Hall were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of our former player Colm McCarthy.
"Our deepest sympathy to parents Mick and Catherine, his sister Emer and his son Finnian. May he Rest in Peace".
Local Thai news outlets report that Colm had been living in the apartment for around a year and was a "smiling person who could communicate clearly in Thai."
Investigating police are liaising with the Irish Embassy in Bangkok. Police at the Lak Song station are understood to be treating the incident as not suspicious.
