Irish restaurant hits back at criticism as customer is charged €16 for porridge and coffee

An Irish restaurant has responded after it was branded a "rip off" by a disgruntled customer who was charged €16 for porridge and coffee.

Galway's Esquires Coffee in Eyre Square has given their side of the story after the customer complained about the price of their food and drink.

An image of the receipt shows the customer paid €3.85 for a large latte, €7.50 for porridge, €0.30 for choosing oat milk, €1.50 for seeds, €1.50 for maple syrup, and €1.50 for mixed nuts, amounting to a total of €16.15.
