Irish Rail passenger bewildered at strange behaviour of woman sitting opposite her

An Irish Rail passenger has questioned what is good and bad train-etiquette after a strange incident.

The woman was on a train to Cork when she spotted something bemusing on the journey.

She asked if shaving on board was okay after the woman sitting opposite her whipped out a razor and started trimming facial hairs while travelling.

The woman took to Twitter asking whether or not it is something people typically do, Cork Beo reports.

She said: "I’m on a train to Cork. There’s a woman opposite me dry shaving her face. I’m okay with hair brushing most of the time.. but shaving?"

Etiquette while travelling is always a touchy subject, and there's always debate about what's acceptable and what's not.

Personal grooming is one of those where people can be conflicted, with many arguing it should be all be done somewhere else.

Other things people can get worked up by include those playing music from their phones, which is very irritating, or nail painting due to the strong fumes from the varnish.

Smelly food is also a big no no as well as talking loudly on the phone.
