One Irish punter could be in line for a massive pay day after placing a crazy bet on Morocco at the start of the World Cup.
The African nation are two wins away from winning the World Cup and have been the story of the tournament.
Priced at 300/1 at the beginning of the tournament, the minnows dispatched of Portugal and Spain in the knockout stages and also managed to convincingly Belgium in the group stages.
They face a tough task on Wednesday as they play current World champions France.
But one lucky punter could be in line for a €3000 pay out if they go on to win the World Cup.
Paddy Power has said that 41 punters backed Morocco at the beginning of the tournament.
The highest stake in all of this was €10 meaning a bumper pay out.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: "Having navigated a tough group and eliminated Spain and Portugal, Morocco are deserving of their place in the semi-final.
"As the odds suggest, we didn’t give them much of a chance but 41 Irish punters did and they could be richly rewarded for their faith should the Atlas Lions roar to the final."
