An Irish pub has been “badly damaged” after a fire broke out at the property on Sunday morning.
Gardai are currently at the scene of Gings bar in Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim, as firefighters battle to bring the blaze under control.
No persons were on the property at the time of the incident.
Motorists have been advised to plan alternative routes as traffic on the N4 in the townland of Cortober has been restricted to one lane in both directions.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Carrick-on-Shannon are dealing with an incident in the town. Traffic on the N4 in the townland of Cortober, Carrick on Shannon, is restricted to one lane in both directions. Delays will occur and Gardaí recommend drivers to plan an alternative route.”
