Condolences have been flowing in for a much-loved man who passed away days after finishing an iconic Galway food challenge.
Conor Flanagan was a very familiar face in Lisdoonvarna in Co Clare, working and performing at The Ritz where he sang for 18 years, Galway Beo reported.
Locals called him the singing doorman and he loved signing his own version of the Johnny Cash classic, Folsom Prison Blues.

When he wasn't singing for show, Conor was taking part in iconic Galway food challenges and had beaten one of the biggest just days before his passing.
He successfully completed Scotty's famous burger and wings 5x5 challenge and was the very first winner of the challenge this year, remarking after: "I'll sleep now".
The Ritz has posted a condolence to their "friend" who they said was a "true gentleman."
They shared a video of Conor singing his own version of that Johnny Cash classic hit.
They wrote: "We are so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our good friend Conor Flanagan. We were fortunate enough to have known and worked with Conor for 18 years and September in Lisdoonvarna will never be the same without you.
"Conor, you were a true gentleman and we are truly honoured to have had you as part of our lives. A loving, kind and caring friend and your big smile, we will never forget."
Other heartfelt tributes have since been flowing in.
One musician wrote: "This is devastating to hear of Conor's untimely passing. He was a vital part of our trip to Lisdoonvarna every year, an absolute gentleman in every way, interesting an a fantastic ambassador for the Ritz and Co Clare."
They recalled how Conor would "appear through the crowd smiling" as they played the intro to Folsom Prison Blues.
"Last year, when gear was packed away he came up an with a big bear hug, said stay strong my friend, see you next year. Sadly this is never to be again so goodbye Conor I have no doubt there was a wonderful welcome for you as you went through the gates of heaven," they added.
A final tribute said: "RIP Conor, going through that door in Ritz never be same again."
