An Irish seven-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after being rescued from a near-drowning in her Majorcan hotel pool.
The youngster was rushed to an intensive care unit “in a critical condition” with police clearing a path for her ambulance so she could get there as quickly as possible. On Tuesday morning, June 21, sources at Son Espases Hospital in the Majorcan capital Palma confirmed she remained “critical” in its paediatric intensive care unit, the Irish Mirror reports.
Some local reports initially described the child as British but well-placed hospital sources have said today she is Irish. The hotel she was rushed to hospital from has been named as the four star HYB Eurocalas Hotel in the east coast resort of Calas de Mallorca.
