Irish fans are hailing the rise of Chiedozie Ogbene after the League of Ireland forward scored a spectacular overhead kick against Belgium today.
The Boys in Green were trailing after Belgium's Michy Batshuayi opened the scoring after twelve minutes at the Aviva.
But Stephen Kenny's men began to put the number one team in the world under pressure and it paid off in the 35th minute.
Callum Robinson did well to get the ball into the danger area from the left wing and Shane Duffy caused havoc in the Belgian defence.
The ball ended up spilling to Ogbene, but the Rotherham United man still had to lot to do.
With his back to goal, Ogbene had the confidence to solo the ball up in the air before hitting a brilliant overhead kick past former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
It was a magical moment for the former Cork City and Limerick man, which took his international record to three goals in just six matches.
