The Irish Athletic Boxing Association has called for new International Boxing Association elections, condemning the 'illegal suspension' of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.
Furthermore in a statement, IABA chiefs make the claim that the world governing body, is 'choosing a path away from Olympic boxing', with the sport already excluded from LA '28.
The IABA says that through its membership of the Common Cause Alliance, it is working to keep boxing in the Paris 2024 Games and to lobby for its re-inclusion in Los Angeles.
