Summer is finally here and Ireland is set to scorch in some of the hottest days of the year so far.
Parts of the country will see temperatures jump to as high as a sizzling 27 degrees over the next five days. Son grab that sunscreen and slap on your shades because it's going to get a lot hotter.
According to an independent weather forecaster, the mercury will hit 27 degrees today and next Monday. Meanwhile, it will be 26 degrees on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This will make Ireland hotter than Ibiza where the temperatures will reach the highs of just 23 degrees this week.

Weather Alerts Ireland said: "The warmest of these temperatures are expected in the West, cooler in the East with the sea breeze!
"At the moment next week is also looking very nice as the stubborn high-pressure system sticks around. The temperatures are gathered from a range of the evening models and would be subject to some change."
Here is Met Eireann's forecast for the next few days:
Today
"Mostly sunny today, with any mist clearing this morning. Cloud will build at times across parts of Ulster and Connacht. Top temperatures will range 19 to 25 degrees generally, though once again, light to moderate easterly winds will keep it a little cooler for eastern coastal areas.
Tonight
"Dry and clear outside of shallow fog patches. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees in light easterly or variable breezes.
Tomorrow
"Warm and sunny for Friday outside of some possible cloud building across Ulster. Highest temperatures of 18 to 24 or 25 degrees, all the while a little cooler though along Irish Sea coasts. Winds will be light to moderate northeast or variable.
Friday night
"Dry and mostly clear after-dark. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 11 degrees in just light easterly breezes.
Saturday
"Another largely sunny and dry day with just scattered cloud. Somewhat cloudy to begin in northern parts, clearing in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 18 to 23 degrees, with just light easterly or variable winds.
