Two weather warnings are currently in place for parts of Ireland as heavy rain and powerful gusts will batter the country.
A Status Yellow rain alert is valid for Galway and Mayo until 12m today. Meanwhile, a separate yellow rain warning is in place for Cork and Kerry 8am this morning.
A Met Eireann forecaster warned: "Heavy rain [expected] at times, with highest accumulations in mountainous regions. Unseasonably windy conditions also. Potential Impacts: localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions, increased debris, and damage to temporary outdoor structures."
Today will start off cloudy with some heavy showers, especially in the west. Sunny spells will develop later with well-scattered showers for the afternoon with the chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Showers will later become confined to the northwest, for a dry and sunny evening elsewhere. It'll be a warm, humid, and breezy day with the temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.
Tonight will be dry and clear for some time before heavy showery rain develops overnight in the southwest along with strong winds. the temperatures will be around 13 to 16 degrees.
Tomorrow will be windy with strong southerly winds developing in all areas. Showery rain will move northwards across the country.
Rain may be heavy in some parts but will clear to sunny spells later in the afternoon. The highest temperatures will be around 17 to 21 degrees.

Saturday night
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Largely dry and clear with winds easing to a light southerly breeze. Later in the night, heavy showers will move up into the south. Cooler than previous nights with lows of 9 to 11 degrees.
Sunday
"A bright morning with a few showers in places. Showers will become widespread and increasingly heavy in the afternoon and evening, with thunderstorms likely in parts.
"Winds will be mostly light, although gusty at times due to showers. Highs of 17 to 21 degrees. Showers will clear early Sunday night, however rain will later develop in the south and west. Lows of 10 to 13 degrees."
