There's a nip in the air as we head into winter with bitter cold nights ahead as temperatures drop to as low as 3C overnight leading to some ground frost and patchy ice on some roads.
For the rest of the week, overall it will be unsettled with rain or showers most days and daytime temperatures staying close to seasonal norm at between 6C to 10C though it will be slightly milder for next weekend.
Meanwhile, some parts of the UK will be waking up to snow this morning as the Met Office predicted more than 'seven inches of snow' to fall in the high ground of Scotland overnight.
However, Met Eireann does not anticipate the white stuff making it to our shores in the next few weeks with the mild conditions likely to continue well into December.
