Met Eireann has forecast more rain and thunderstorms this week before a big change is expected to come this weekend.
Thunderstorms are likely to batter the East coast again on Tuesday afternoon, an Irish weather expert has warned.
The rest of the week will be a mix of showers and sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday.

However, it is expected to clear up by Friday which has been pinpointed as a potential summery day, according to Met Éireann.
High pressure is expected to push in on Friday and Saturday, bringing dry weather with some sunshine and highs of up to 19C.
Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather wrote: "Risk of thunderstorms once again [Tuesday], developing in afternoon with East at highest risk again. A little earlier than today, clearing East by around 7pm."
He continued: "While next few days look very showery, high pressure will push in for Friday and much of Saturday to give a more settled break. Risk of heavy rain late on Saturday though."

Tuesday, May 9
Sunny spells and showers today, Tuesday. The showers will be mostly in the west and southwest at first, but they will spread eastwards this morning becoming widespread for a time, some heavy and possibly thundery. Top temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees. Light southwest winds will increase moderate westerly at times this afternoon and evening.
Showers will continue tonight, merging to longer spells of rain at times in the west and northwest. The showers will be more scattered in the east and southeast with longer drier and clearer intervals occurring. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds, fresh near Atlantic coasts.
Wednesday, May 10
Wednesday will start mostly cloudy with showers becoming widespread in the morning. Sunny spells will develop through the day but the showers will remain widespread with some heavy and possibly thundery downpours. Top temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in moderate west to southwest winds, fresher near Atlantic coasts.
Outbreaks of heavy, and possibly thundery, rain will develop in the northwest on Wednesday evening, sweeping southeastwards over the country overnight, followed by showers. Light to moderate westerly winds, fresh to strong along Atlantic coasts, will veer northwest with the passage of the rain. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees, coldest in Ulster.
Thursday, May 11
Rather dull and wet to begin across the southern half of the country on Thursday, drier and sunnier further north, with scattered showers. The rain will clear the south though the morning leaving a mix of sunshine and showers for the afternoon. Highs of 14 to 17 degrees in mostly light to moderate northerly winds, but winds will continue fresh to strong near southwestern coasts for much of the day. Showers becoming isolated with long clear spells developing on Thursday night. Lows of 6 to 9 degrees in light northerly breezes.
Friday, May 12
Largely dry with variable cloud and sunny spells. A little patchy drizzle may brush the northwest coast towards evening. Top temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in light northerly or variable breezes.
Saturday, May 13
Another largely dry day expected with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. The sunshine will turn hazier from the west as the day goes on, with some patchy rain edging into northwestern coasts in the evening. Top temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in light to moderate southwest breezes.
REST OF THE WEEKEND: Outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards on Saturday night will give way to a noticeably cooler day on Sunday with a mix of sunshine and showers.
