Ireland could see another Beast from the East-type event due to an extreme weather-causing phenomenon.
A weather forecaster confirmed that a sudden stratospheric warming is on the way and could bring colder weather around March. Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather said: "Latest ECMWF update shows full agreement on the model for reversal of winds and SSW.
"So an SSW will happen, we know that now, but what we don’t know is the impact on our weather. That is wait and see."
