Ireland weather: Expert says 'high pressure is building nearby' with big change on the way

An expert has given a welcome update on Ireland’s weather for the week ahead, confirming that high pressure is building nearby.

The currently dominant low pressure is due to give way to high pressure as we swap rain and wind for milder weather as we get deeper into spring.

Carlow weather tweeted: “Turning wet again tomorrow afternoon and into Friday with over 40mm of rain possible in the Southwest.
