Ireland U21 star Festy Ebosele has had praise heaped on him after his wonderful gesture to a young Derby County fan.
Ebosele's Derby are in the thick of a relegation battle in the Championship having suffered administration and a 21=point deduction as a result.
Off the pitch, however, Ebosele provided some good cheer for one Rams fan and her father with a wonderful act of kindness.
19-year-old Ebosele made a surprise visit to the young girl's football training after her father Dave had sent him a message.
But he had only messaged wondering if it would be possible to get an autograph for his daughter, not realising Ebosele would go above and beyond.
He took to Twitter to tell the story of what happened and outline the kindness of the young man from Enniscorthy.
He said: "This is why Derby have to survive.
"So after a tough year for Bella I wanted to do something to make her smile… Despite everything this last year she has a heart of gold and just keeps on going.
"Her favourite player at Derby is Festy Ebosele… Well tonight he has made her day, month year, life.
"I contacted him to see if Bella could get an autograph… But Festy being the top man he is decided he would travel to Mansfield to surprise her at football training.
"Her face when he turned up and said hello Bella was just the best.
"This guy is only 19 but he is the kindest person and made Bella feel like a million dollars. It also helped he has a dog and his girlfriend came along who was brilliant with her also.
"Lots of footballers get a bad name but Festy is one of the very best. He’s Derby through and through and said he is not leaving.
"Thank you so much for making a little girls dream come true. Up the Rams."
Ebosele has impressed in Derby's strong run of late, where the club have won four of their last six in the league.
Wayne Rooney's men still face an uphill struggle to avoid relegation with eight points to make up, but history has shown anything is possible in the Championship.
