Ireland international Darragh Lenihan has today completed his move to Middlesbrough from Blackburn Rovers.
The centre-back from Co Meath has penned a four-year deal with the Championship club.
Lenihan, who made his competitive Ireland debut in last week’s Nations League draw with Ukraine in Poland, moves on a free transfer.
Boro boss Chris Wilder said: “I've been a huge admirer of Darragh for a long time in terms of his qualities as a player, as a person, as a competitor, as a warrior, and a leader of men.
“I'm putting a bit on him but I know he can handle it. He's a proper football player and I'm delighted.”
Lenihan spent the last decade at Blackburn Rovers where he amassed over 260 career appearances.
He has three caps for Ireland and his start in Lodz last week bridged a gap of four years since his last appearance under Martin O’Neill.
