Ireland rugby stars detail boozy Six Nations party with their fathers

It's been quite the week of celebrations for the Irish rugby team.

From winning the Grand Slam on home soil to invading Garry Ringrose's home, it's safe to assume that there has been very little sleeping done.

While the team have celebrated together, some of the players have been keen to get their family in on the act.

Take Dan Sheehan for example, who revealed on the Late Late Show on Friday evening that even their fathers played a role in the celebrations.

"We had a little bit of a tour on Monday evening with a party bus and we picked up all of our Dads," said Sheehan.

"We kidnapped them from their houses at six o'clock in the evening.

"My Dad probably was out the door before I had gotten off the bus he was so happy to see us."

Flanked by his Leinster teammates Josh Van der Flier and Andrew Porter, Sheehan took us behind the scenes and explained the circumstances behind the team's arrival to the Ringrose residence during the week.

And contrary to popular belief, Garry Ringrose himself was out with the team and hadn't been planning a quiet night in at home with the family.

"It was Garry's mum's Birthday, so we decided we'd show up and sing her Happy Birthday in her kitchen."

"Garry was with us, Garry was definitely with us," said Sheehan, before Porter chimed in "We were abducting his father as well."
