Ireland is set to host its own version of Big Brother, we can reveal.
MTV are on the lookout for 8 to 12 housemates to live in a secret ‘Big Brother style’ location in Ireland where they will face challenges and tasks that are sure to create tension amongst the group in the house.
Casting has already begun and filming in Ireland is due in the coming weeks, with producers also keen to add couples to the house.

Michael Marty Byrne is among the crew who is currently talent spotting for the new show. The casting manager has worked with cast members on TV shows such as Stars, Tallafornia and Eating with the Enemy.
Speaking about the new Irish reality show, Micheal said: “Working with past cast members was an amazing experience. Nothing’s scripted so it's live drama. We filmed a pilot in 2015 called Infectious, quite like the Valley’s, and starred cast members such as Big Brother’s Marc O Neill and Ava Van Rose.
“It was a raunchy production, but unfortunately I don’t think Ireland was ready for explicit content at the time.”
Infectious was turned down several years ago by a number of TV stations, before being released in full online.
A source has revealed that Life Of The Party will be the first of its kind.
“The UK absolutely love the Irish and this show has been in demand for some time.
“Hot spot night clubs have been selected to be a key location for filming. Life Of The Party producers have worked on huge successful shows such as Ex on the Beach and have no doubt this one will be extremely controversial.
“The show will see cast members living together in a big brother style location where they are faced with challenges and club appearances. Mystery challenges and tasks are set to create tension amongst the house mates,” an insider added.
We previously revealed that former Big Brother star Hughie Maughan could be the voice of the show as we understand talks are ongoing with MTV bosses.
The source added: “We don’t have much TV in Ireland – never mind reality TV. This will be just what we need on our screens.”
