Ireland AM star Muireann O'Connell has revealed the hilarious story of when she met Bono.
The Limerick presenter ran into the U2 frontman when she was at a pub with her friends in Co Kerry. Speaking on her podcast, And Another Thing, with Emma Doran, Muireann said her friend, who had previously commented on how Bono wouldn't even dream of being in the pub they were sitting in, shot out like a bullet after she spotted the world-famous musician walking past them.
She said: "When Bono walked passed us sitting in the window of a pub in Dingle a couple of years ago. And my mate got out of her chair like a bat out of hell.
"When we had told her a few hours previously, 'Oh Bono's around the village', and she goes, 'Bono wouldn't spit in it'." Muireann recalled: "So he walked passed the window and she barrelled through the door and goes, 'Bono, Bono, Bono!'
