Aftermath of impact from rocket fired from Lebanon, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, in Kiryat Shmona close to Israel's border with Lebanon

Recently, Iraq has joined a growing number of countries and groups in condemning Israel's strike on Lebanon. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iraq released a statement denouncing the attack as a clear violation of international law and conventions. The statement emphasized that Iraq views this aggression as a significant threat to regional stability and warned of potential negative consequences on regional security and peace.

In addition to Iraq, other countries and groups that have condemned the attack include Iran, Lebanon, the Houthis, and Hamas. The United Nations has also expressed deep concern over the strike, as stated by the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.

The collective condemnation highlights the widespread alarm and disapproval of Israel's actions in the region. The international community's response underscores the importance of upholding international law and promoting peace and security in the Middle East.
