Iranian footballers reportedly flashed the international SOS signal from their team bus amid fears over their safety as they return to Iran after crashing out of the Asian Cup.

Hundreds of supporters surrounded the Iranian Lionesses'coach as it left the stadium on the Gold Coast in Australia on Sunday evening, with chants of "save our girls".
