Iranian Women Hunger Strike Protests Execution of Mohammad Gabadloo
Dozens of women in Iran have embarked on a hunger strike to protest the recent execution of 23-year-old Mohammad Gabadloo. Gabadloo was accused of killing a police officer with his car during demonstrations in 2022. His mother claimed that he suffered from bipolar disorder and was not taking his medication at the time of the incident. Despite these claims, Iran's Supreme Court upheld his death sentence after a psychological examination. Gabadloo was executed by hanging this week.
