Iran has expressed its support for the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, welcomed the news of the cessation of Israeli attacks in Lebanon. Iran has been advocating for an end to Israel's military actions in both Lebanon and Gaza for the past 14 months.
Baqaei emphasized that the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance forces are more determined than ever to protect the legitimate rights of their people. He also highlighted the recent decision by the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
According to Baqaei, there is a growing global demand for accountability and justice regarding the actions of the Israeli government. The international community has been calling for an end to the violence and bloodshed in the region, and now expects the perpetrators to be held responsible for their actions.
