A member of Iran's parliament and spokesperson for its National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Ebrahim Rezaei, issued a stern warning to Israel, stating that Iran would respond with force to any Israeli attack. Rezaei emphasized that Iran possesses a significant arsenal of missiles and could potentially target sites beyond Israeli military positions.
During a recent attack on Israel, Rezaei mentioned that Iran had only targeted military sites but highlighted that there are other potential targets within reach. He asserted that Iran has the capability to strike these targets if necessary.
Rezaei emphasized that Iran's response to any Israeli aggression would be forceful and severe. He also stated that attacks on Iranian interests in other countries, such as the strike on Iran's diplomatic building in Damascus, would be considered as attacks on Iranian soil.
Furthermore, Rezaei called on the United States to cease its military support for Israel and urged for efforts to push Israel towards a ceasefire in Gaza. He specifically mentioned stopping arms supplies and backing for the Israeli government.
The tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated following a recent barrage of missiles fired by Iran on October 1. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Iran would face consequences for its actions, with the United States expressing support for Israel's response.
