- An attack on a Kuwaiti tanker laden with oil has been blamed on Iran; officials said all 24 crew members were safe after the tanker, located off the coast of Dubai, was hit by a drone.
- It comes as President Donald Trump warned the US has military capabilities beyond Iran’s “wildest imagination” if peace talks fail.
- Trump also threatened to conclude his “lovely stay in Iran” by “obliterating” Kharg Island and other energy facilities.
- He claimed on Truth Social that he was holding “serious discussions” with Iran on how to bring a resolution to the conflict; Tehran continues to deny any direct talks are taking place.
- Meanwhile, oil prices reversed course in Asian trading early Tuesday. Brent crude futures for May were down $1.22, or 1.08 per cent, to $111.56 per barrel at 2am GMT.
