Iran Says Returning To Diplomacy With The U.S. 'Isn't Impossible.' Trump Says He's Not Interested.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said "pressure doesn't work" and the U.S. "should build trust, speak respectfully, acknowledge our rights, and uphold commitments."

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a return to diplomacy with the U.S. "isn't impossible" even though it requires steps from Washington. But President Donald Trump said he's not interested.

"Putting diplomacy back on track isn't impossible. It hinges on U.S. understanding of one simple fact: pressure doesn't work. The U.S. should build trust, speak respectfully, acknowledge our rights, and uphold commitments," Araghchi said in a social media publication on Friday, in which he also lauded "creative discussions with H.E. the PM/FM of Qatar."
