Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian justified the recent missile strike on Israel as a defensive measure to protect Iran's interests and citizens. The President emphasized that the operation was a display of Iran's power and a warning to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement, President Pezeshkian stated, 'This action was in defense of the interests and citizens of Iran. It was a message to Netanyahu that Iran is not seeking conflict but will firmly oppose any threats. We urge Israel not to engage in a conflict with Iran.'

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also issued a warning in Hebrew, promising that the attacks on Israel would intensify and inflict greater pain. He expressed confidence that the resistance against Israel would grow stronger with divine assistance.

The missile strike by Iran followed Israel's incursion into Lebanon targeting the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah. Israel's recent airstrike that killed Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah and weakened the paramilitary force in the region has heightened concerns of a potential regional conflict.

The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel have raised fears of a new war in the Middle East. Both sides have issued warnings and threats, indicating a volatile situation that could lead to further hostilities.
