  • Iran’s supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a handwritten letter to the military, providing potential proof of life after months out of public view.
  • The document, dated 1 August and addressed to an IRGC commander, urged military supply chain efforts to continue and requested regular updates.
  • Khamenei has not been seen in public since US-Israeli strikes killed his father on 28 February, with all prior communications handled electronically or via intermediaries.
  • Meanwhile, Iran’s president criticised Donald Trump’s "bullying mentality" during a speech at the United Nations in New York.
  • The Iranian president affirmed that Iran is willing to resolve tensions diplomatically but warned it will not accept the language of force.
