Iran tells UN it will continue self-defence and considers US, Israeli bases as targets- top developments

NEW DELHI: US President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli strikes. On Saturday, Israel and US launched a daylight "preventive attack" against Iran. According to local reports, loud blasts have been heard across Tehran. However, Tel Aviv has stressed that it is targeting military sites.

"The State of Israel launched a pre-emptive attack against Iran to remove threats to the State of Israel," Defence minister Israel Katz said.
