While the Israeli military has not officially attributed the attack, they reported that the drones approached from the east. In response to questions regarding potential strikes on Iraq, an Israeli military spokesperson emphasized that they are closely monitoring the situation, gathering intelligence, and will take necessary actions to address the threat.
Wednesday's incident in Eilat follows a call from Kataib Hezbollah, a prominent faction within the Islamic Resistance, urging other Iran-backed militias to intensify their assaults on Israel.
Iran-supported militant groups in Iraq have been targeting US and Israeli interests since October 7, citing solidarity with Gaza. The recent tensions between Israel and Lebanon have further fueled these militias to escalate their attacks.
