IQ Test: Only detective brains can spot the thief in under 60 seconds, can you?

Do you like solving puzzles? If the answer is yes, here's a brain teaser for you: You'll see two images. On the left is a gardener holding a shovel, and on the right, a woman is cooking and adding spices. Your challenge is to answer a simple question: Who is the thief in this picture?

The story goes that when the police questioned both of them, neither could provide any information about the thief.

Now, with just this information and looking at the picture, can you figure out who the thief is? Your time starts now! 60... 50... 40... 30... 20... 10... 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1! Time's up!

So, were you able to spot the thief in this picture? Who's the culprit? If you guessed the woman, you're absolutely correct! Congratulations on your sharp thinking and speed. But if you thought it was the man, keep reading as we explain the mystery.

There were two people working when the theft occurred: the gardener and the woman in the kitchen. According to the gardener, he was continuously working in the garden when he saw smoke and fire coming from the house. The woman, on the other hand, claimed she was working continuously in the kitchen.

However, the crucial detail is that the gardener saw smoke coming from the house, and he found it very alarming. As you can see in the image, there's a burnt cake on the kitchen table. So, the woman was clearly outside of the kitchen "for some purpose" when the theft took place. Therefore, the woman is the thief in this puzzle.

If you spotted the thief on your first try, let us know in the comment section. Keep practising more puzzles on our website!
