NEW DELHI: The fear of disconnection of the stadium's power supply hanging over Sunrisers Hyderabad's home game against defending champions Chennai Super Kings has allayed as the state electricity department has restored the supply despite bills of reportedly Rs 3 crore still unpaid by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).
According to News18, the HCA had requested the electricity department to waive off the surcharge of Rs 1.6 crore from the unpaid bills, after which the power was disconnected. But it has been restored ahead of the match on Friday.

“Ahead of the IPL match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings today, the Electricity Department has restored power supply at Uppal Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. The IPL match between SRH and CSK will continue as usual," the website quoted a statement from the HCA president’s office.

SRH have so far won just a single game out of the three they have played so far, while Chennai Super Kings have won two out of three.
