NEW DELHI: Punjab Kings are going to miss their star wicketkeeper batter Jonny Bairstow in IPL 2023. Bairstow, who scored 253 runs in 11 matches last season for Punjab Kings at an average of 23.00, is still recovering from the freak injury he picked up last September on a golf course. The 33-year-old star keeper broke his left leg on September 2 ahead of the third and final Test against South Africa.

In Bairstow's absence, Punjab Kings will be left with two choices for a specialist wicket-keeper - Prabhsimran Singh and Jitesh Sharma.
