Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are now available globally, with significant differences in pricing across international markets. While Indian buyers pay Rs 1,64,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro and Rs 1,79,900 for the Pro Max, converted prices in the US, Japan, Saudi Arabia, UAE and other markets are substantially lower.
Beyond pricing, Apple has introduced several changes to its latest Pro lineup. Both phones use the new A20 Pro chipset, feature 120Hz ProMotion displays and receive upgraded cooling systems. The major camera-related addition is variable aperture technology on the main sensor, giving users greater control over photography and video capture.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pre-booking date and time
Apple is set to open pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India at 5:30 PM IST today, September 12. The two flagship smartphones were unveiled earlier this week alongside Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo.
While the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will reach Indian customers on September 18, buyers interested in the foldable model will have to wait until October. Pre-orders for the two Pro models can be placed through Apple’s online store, the Apple Store app and major retail and e-commerce platforms across the country.
iPhone 18 Pro is cheapest in the US
Among the markets compared, the United States offers the lowest converted price for the iPhone 18 Pro. The phone costs the equivalent of Rs 1,23,346 there, which is considerably below its Rs 1,64,900 starting price in India.
Japan is the next most affordable market at Rs 1,24,090, followed by Saudi Arabia at Rs 1,25,874 and the UAE at Rs 1,26,900. Singapore is also cheaper than India, with a converted price of Rs 1,31,295.
For the iPhone 18 Pro Max, the US again records the lowest converted price at Rs 1,33,634. Saudi Arabia follows at Rs 1,34,708, while the UAE is listed at Rs 1,36,855. Singapore comes next at Rs 1,45,123, followed by Canada at Rs 1,48,044.
| Model | Country | Price in Rs |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro | India | Rs 1,64,900 |
| United States | Rs 1,23,346 | |
| Japan | Rs 1,24,090 | |
| Saudi Arabia | Rs 1,25,874 | |
| UAE | Rs 1,26,900 | |
| Singapore | Rs 1,31,295 | |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | India | Rs 1,79,900 |
| United States | Rs 1,33,634 | |
| Saudi Arabia | Rs 1,34,708 | |
| UAE | Rs 1,36,855 | |
| Singapore | Rs 1,45,123 | |
| Canada | Rs 1,48,044 |
The price differences are linked largely to variations in local taxes, import duties and currency exchange rates. Markets with comparatively lower smartphone taxes can therefore offer Apple's latest flagships at lower retail prices.
Cashback, EMI and exchange offers on iPhone 18 Pro models
Apple is offering several purchase incentives for customers ordering the new Pro models.
The phones come in Black, Silver, Glacier and the new Burgundy colour option. Buyers using eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards can receive instant cashback.
No-cost EMI plans are also available. The monthly instalment starts at Rs 26,316 for the iPhone 18 Pro and Rs 28,817 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max over six months, including instant cashback.
Customers exchanging an iPhone 13 or a newer model can receive exchange credit ranging from Rs 21,000 to Rs 81,500, depending on the device and applicable terms.
Where to pre-order iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max
Apple’s online store and Apple Store app will accept pre-orders when the booking window opens. Customers can also place orders through major retail and e-commerce platforms.
The listed channels include Amazon, Flipkart, Lotus Electronics and Vijay Sales, along with other authorised Apple retail partners.
Those who prefer shopping in person can also check availability and purchase the phones through Apple Stores and other authorised retailers once sales begin.
How to pre-order the new iPhones
Customers planning to book either model should decide their preferred storage capacity and colour before pre-orders begin.
The general booking process involves visiting Apple’s online store or an authorised retailer’s website, selecting the iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max, choosing the required configuration and reviewing available payment, cashback, EMI and exchange options.
Buyers then need to provide delivery details and complete the payment or follow the retailer’s specific pre-order procedure.
With the booking window opening at 5:30 PM, customers targeting a particular colour or storage variant may want to have their preferred configuration ready before pre-orders begin. Apple’s online store is already displaying the new Pro models and their available configurations.
iPhone Duo pre-orders begin next month
Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, will not be available for pre-order alongside the two Pro models.
In India, pre-orders for the iPhone Duo are scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM IST on October 16. The foldable smartphone will go on sale from October 23, with an India starting price of Rs 2,99,900.
This puts the launch timelines for Apple’s latest flagship devices on two separate schedules. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will become available to Indian buyers this month, while customers waiting for the iPhone Duo will have to wait until October.
