An investigation has been launched after a man’s body was found in Blyth, with his death currently being treated as unexplained.
Officers from Northumbria Police responded at 12.10pm on Thursday to a report of concern for the welfare of a man in the Bowes Court area.
The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A cordon can be seen in the area on Thursday afternoon as officers continue to work at the scene.
A team wearing forensic suits also arrived in the area to carry out an investigation.
Photographs were also taken by the forensic team as they gathered evidence.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At 12.10pm today (Thursday) officers received a report of concern for the welfare of a man in the Bowes Court area of Blyth.
“Emergency services attended the scene and found a man who was confirmed as deceased at the scene. His next of kin are aware.
“Officers are currently treating the man’s death as unexplained. An investigation has been launched and officers remain in the area to carry out enquiries.
