An investigation has been launched after reports of a suspected cannabis farm at an address in North Shields.
Officers from Northumbria Police were in attendance throughout this morning (October 13) at an address on Chirton Green following the reports.
Police vehicles were present at the scene with officers seen carrying equipment out of the property.

A skip was also in place next to where a police van was parked. It is unconfirmed whether the skip was being used as part of the police investigation.
Northumbria Police did, however, confirm that officers have seized several pieces of equipment linked to cannabis production with work underway to secure the property.
As it stands, the force have not indicated that any arrests have been made in connection with the case.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Earlier this morning, officers executed a warrant at an address on Chirton Green, North Shields, following reports the premises was being used to house a suspected cannabis farm.
“Officers have seized several pieces of equipment linked to cannabis production and are currently working to secure the property.
“Enquiries are on-going.”
