Investigation launched after 'extensive damage' caused to Greggs on County Durham industrial estate

Extensive damage has been caused to a branch of Greggs on an industrial estate in County Durham.

Officers from Durham Constabulary have launched an investigation following reports of a disturbance at a premises on Shotton Colliery Industrial Estate yesterday evening (January 9).

'Extensive damage' was found to have been inflicted upon the branch of Greggs on Cook Way. The incident took place at around 9.10pm.

Officers have asked that anyone with further information which may help with their investigation should the Peterlee CID.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a premises on Shotton Colliery Industrial Estate yesterday evening (Monday, January 9).

"Extensive damage was caused to Greggs on Cook Way.

"The incident is believed to have taken place at around 9.10pm."

Anybody with any information relating to the incident is asked to contact Peterlee CID on 101, quoting incident number 416 of January 9.
