A police investigation has been launched after a house was burgled in County Durham.
Officers from Durham Constabulary received reports of a house burglary in Richmond Drive, Woodstone Village, at approximately 7.30am yesterday (July 28).
The occupant of the property was away at the time and intruders are believed to have forced their way into the property via the rear doors of the house.

Investigations so far have found that the intruders made off with a number of items including jewellery.
Forensic investigators have examined the scene and Durham Constabulary have said that the investigations into the incident are continuing.
A spokesman for the Force said: "At 7.30am on Thursday we were alerted to a house burglary in Richmond Drive, Woodstone Village.
"While the occupant was away from the property, intruders have forced open the rear doors to the house and escaped with a number of items including jewellery.
"Forensic investigators have examined the scene and investigations are continuing."
