Police are investigating after a person was allegedly assaulted at a hospital's A&E department. The alleged incident, at North Manchester General Hospital in Crumpsall, is understood to have involved a patient.
Greater Manchester Police said it is investigating reports of an 'alleged assault' on March 7. No arrests have been made.
Detectives are 'following a number of lines of enquiry', the force said. Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, said: "We are co-operating fully with the police inquiry."

A GMP statement read: "Greater Manchester Police are investigating reports of an alleged assault which took place at North Manchester General Hospital on Tuesday, March 7 2023. No arrests have been made at this time, but police are following a number of lines of enquiry."
The police have not released further information. The trust has not responded to the Manchester Evening News' requests for further comment.
